The OECD 307: Aerobic and Anaerobic Transformation in Soil Study tests for the rate and nature of transformations of a given substance that occur in soil. To do this, soil samples similar to those used in the crop's actual environment are incubated for up to 120 days and analyzed for chemical transformations. Mineralization is assessed using radiolabeling, and volatile substances are collected using adsorption.
