Ferritin analysis
Assessing ferritin levels is a better indicator of total body iron stores than measuring iron itself, as ferritin stores can be significantly decreased before any decrease in serum iron occurs. Ferritin levels are measured with immunologic assays requiring species-specific reagents, such as radioimmunoassay and a sandwich ELISA.
This is an automated serum analysis for research development studies. Please contact us for site-specific details in regards to research model capabilities.
