Physiologically based Pharmacokinetics (PBPK) Modeling can be used to predict the PK profiles of different formulations to assist selection of an ideal formulation and aid in design of DDI studies. 

PBPK model provides simulated concentration versus time profiles of a drug and its metabolite(s) in plasma or an organ of interest and simultaneously allow for estimation of maximum plasma concentrations, absorption kinetics, distribution kinetics and drug elimination.
