Compartmental & non-compartmental PK/TK analysis
Compartmental and non-compartmental analysis (NCA) of pharmacokinetic (PK) data can help support regulatory filings, create predictive simulations and help researchers select lead molecules or formulations.
In compartmental methods, the body is considered to consist of interconnected, kinetically homogeneous compartments. NCA does not use PK models and assumptions but relies on equations to estimate PK parameters.
These analyses observe drug concentrations over a set time period in a suitable matrix, such as blood or plasma.
